During the mid-1800s, the two pioneers, Dr Oliver Wendell Holmes and Dr Ignaz Semmelweis, documented how surgeons and midwives significantly improved the survival rate among patients through thorough hand washing before attending each patient. The connection between health and hygiene in hospitals was established.
Today the concept of ‘hygiene’ also includes washing and disinfecting all equipment used in modern hospitals. As a provider of world-class movement systems and solutions for multiple medical applications, such as hospital beds and patient lifts, we at LINAK feel obligated to provide durable and washable products – not only meeting the required norms and standards but exceeding them.
We do this to help push this important agenda even further. In the area of washable medical equipment, the next level of clean is called: LINAK IPX6 Washable DURA™.
We will continue the journey into a future of continuous improvements within healthcare hygiene, which was started by these pioneers, their studies, and hard work, because we care about tomorrow today.
