One of the ways to do this is to acknowledge and embrace the fact that there are alternatives to materials containing polyvinyl chloride – commonly known as PVC. Practically all LINAK products for office desks, workstations, kitchens, and several more, are now PVC-free as standard.
PVC-free products such as cables, control boxes, columns and actuators, as well as most of our control panels are marked with the LINAK PVC-Free™ logo, allowing manufacturers to design more environmentally green workspace applications for their customers.

PVC is a type of plastic often used in cables and as a coating for electric components? To make it pliable, plasticisers are added – the most widely used being phthalates. Phthalates are suspected of disrupting hormones, of being related to several chronic diseases, and of causing birth defects. PVC needs to be recycled separately, which can be costly and, when incinerated, releases dioxins.
